1. Youth Congress Meet
A short introduction will be followed by group discussion under the following issues. This will be followed by an interactive session. 6 students per school.
· Family Values
o Relationship with Parents
o Disintegration of Joint families to nuclear units
· Teenage Relationships
o Flamboyant Attitude
o Openness to taboo topics
· Peer Pressure
o Growing Materialism
o Increasing deviation towards wrong habits
· Faith and Religion
o Pro’s and Con’s of Faith and Religion
o Decreasing belief in superstition
o Loss of religious and cultural heritage
· Patriotism
o Resurge of patriotism in the youth
o Growing awareness and concern for current issues
· Emerging trends in Education
o New upcoming fields to cater to all types of students
o Decline in traditional professions
2. Mural Painting
Students will work together on one mural on the main topic ‘Changing Face of Youth”. 1 student per school.
3. Poetry Competition
Topics related to the main event will be given on the spot and original pieces will be expected. 1 student per school

Note: A student can’t participate in more than one event.
1. Registration should be done by email (dpsyouthcongress@gmail.com) latest by 3 December 2007.
2. E-mail should contain:
o Subject line: ‘DPS YC Meet’
o Name of School
o Names of participants in capital letters for each event
o Name of accompanying Teacher
3. Only students of class XI are allowed as participants
4. There should be a maximum of 8 participants from each school
o Six Participants for the Youth Congress event
o One participant each for The Poetry Writing Competition and Mural Painting Competition
5. A teacher must accompany the students
6. Registration time is from 8:00 am to 8:30 am
7. The Competition will commence at 8:45 am
8. Students are not required to bring their own materials.
9. There will be 6 prizes for the Youth Congress event and one each for the Poetry Competition and Mural Making Competition. However all participants will be awarded certificates for participation.
The DPS Youth Congress is a body made for the students and by the students. After it conception a year ago, it has the proud privilege of holding its first Inter-school event. This is the DPS Youth Congress Meet on the topic "The Changing Face of the Youth" on 8th December, in the school premises. The Meet will consist of 3 events:
